Duties

Help
  • Interpret Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy to support management in EEO related matters.
  • Attempts to resolve EEO complaints at the informal stage.
  • Provide functional expertise in the area of EEO discrimination complaints to support employees and management.
  • Inform employees of their rights and responsibilities regarding EEO allegations.
  • Analyze and process complaints by providing guidance based on regulations and guidance from EEOC, DoD, and DON.

Qualifications

FOR GS -11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Interpreting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies/procedures, laws or regulations; Processing informal/ formal complaints and ADR requests. Utilizing automated systems to input data related to EEO complaints; and assisting with creating correspondence and related case documents according to procedures.

FOR GS -12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Interpreting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies/procedures, laws or regulations; Performing counseling and/or advisory services to supervisors and employees; and gathering and performing analysis of EEO workforce data for reports.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
