The CHIPS Operations Office is looking for a Financial Analyst who is excited to work with a new, evolving team!
As a new Financial Analyst on our team, you will:
- Monitor performance and expenditures of semiconductor manufacturing projects by analyzing recipient expenditures, manufacturing investments, and fund use data to ensure alignment with program investment objectives.
- Analyze construction and operational recipient data based on loan and grant performance metrics and financial risk analysis to assess portfolio integrity.
- Develop and implement data-informed program management protocols and procedural improvements for semiconductor manufacturing operations using evaluation findings and financial analysis.
- Present investment data analysis findings and financial modeling projections to the portfolio manager to inform decisions on recipient terms and program direction.
- Coordinate directly with department leaders and external customers to develop and execute investment protection processes and risk identification methods to ensure the continued achievement of semiconductor manufacturing project goals.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.

The CHIPS Program Office is looking for staff who are excited to work with a new, evolving team that will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and executing grants and loans for applications coming into the CHIPS Program Office.
The CHIPS Program Office will establish and manage programs that seek to restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing by providing incentives and encouraging investment to expand the domestic manufacturing capacity necessary to produce the most advanced semiconductors needed for applications in AI and high-performance computing, as well as less advanced semiconductors that remain critical components of everything from automobiles to consumer electronics. In addition to major manufacturing investments, these programs will also focus on investments in supply chain, other strategic projects, workforce development programs and community investment. There is also a focus on catalyzing a dynamic new center for innovation and research, laying the groundwork for the creation of next generation industries.
