II - The candidate will serve as an Administrative Officer for the Associate Director for Laboratory Programs. The candidate is expected to perform the full range of administrative officer responsibilities with guidance from other senior administrative officers and the senior management advisor. Responsibilities include administering the budget, financial management, human resources, and other general administrative activities consistent with programmatic objectives and NIST policies. The candidate routinely confers with and advises management to identify and resolve administrative problems and needs and is also expected to provide guidance, advice, and information on these matters to other organizations. General administrative activities include, but are not limited to, acquisition actions, assistance awards, bankcard activities, and travel management.
III - The candidate will serve as an Administrative Officer for the Associate Director for Laboratory Programs. The candidate is expected to independently perform the full range of administrative officer responsibilities. Responsibilities include administering the budget, financial management, human resources, and other general administrative activities consistent with programmatic objectives and NIST policies. The candidate will be expected to perform duties independently with minimal guidance and have the ability to effectively perform analysis and issue resolution
The ZA-II position allows applicants to qualify with education. Transcripts must be submitted to validate that the education requirement has been met. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. However, an official copy will be required prior to a final offer of employment.
For ZA-III, qualifications are based upon meeting specialized experience only. Education cannot be used to qualify for this position.
