Help
  • Serves as senior EEO Specialist for Chemical Materials Activity and Complaints Program manager for both Chemical Materials Activity and Communication Electronics Command
  • Provides equal employment opportunity expertise in establishing overall operating policies, priorities, procedures, and plans in executing the Command AEP.
  • Analyzes representation of minorities and women at all grade levels, in all pay plans, and in all career programs, using the appropriate work force statistics.
  • Administers the informal and formal complaint process for individual and class complaints arising in the field.
  • Researches and compiles appropriate data and reaches conclusions as to adequacy of EEO program for assigned area.
  • Serves as project or team leader in carrying out special assignment studies to identify and resolve complex EEO issues.
  • Serves as expert on the civilian AEP and complaint programs that impact command efforts.

Qualifications

About the Position: In this position you will serves as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist, assisting the EEO Manager and/or higher-graded specialist in the development and execution of the EEO Program. Participates in the oversight and evaluation of the EEO program. You will participate in special projects or assignments related to EEO activities, maintains and/or updates policies and procedures, and participate in the development of technical requirements.

This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-13 grade step 05 in the broadband. This position is covered by control points to account for variances in position responsibilities within the broadband. The Control Point for this position NH-03 Program Analyst is $94,199 to $126,949 including locality at the rate of 32.49%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 or equivalent grade levels or bands in the Federal service which includes 1) Managing a Equal Employment Opportunity program for a large organization; and 2) Analyzing workforce demographic and diversity data to monitor the progress in achieving Equal Employment Opportunity goals; and 3) Advising Managers and employees on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies/procedures, and laws/regulations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11 /NH-02).
