The selected individual will serve as an advisor providing authoritative, professional advice to senior Commission officials on matters of international trade. A high level of expertise is required concerning industries involved in advanced technology, machinery, transportation, or environmental products, particularly involving issues including international trade restrictions, global supply chains, competitive conditions, global business strategies, and sources of domestic and foreign data.

A. Degree: Economics, that includes at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting or calculus.

Education May be Substituted for Experience as Follows:
At the GS-11 level: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related.
