Performs duties in the Golf Shop. Sells merchandise, collects money for daily, annual, and punch card green fees, collects money for range balls, rental clubs, pull carts, club storage and personal lockers. Incumbent is responsible for insuring proper accountability of all merchandise and equipment. Incumbent collects money and makes change, counts receipts, and prepares required paperwork for shift. Incumbent accepts special merchandise orders and collects required deposits. Incumbent issues, receives, cleans and stores all rental clubs.
Performs duties of golf course starter and/or marshal to prevent unauthorized persons from using facilities, assuring that personnel are prompt for their playing reservations, and assuring that play is controlled on the course. Incumbent has full authority to instruct players to speed up play, replace divots, repair ball marks, etc.
Exercises tact in dealing with customers. This is expressed by tactfully responding to customer inquiries and assisting patrons in a prompt and friendly manner.
Incumbent is responsible for maintaining the Golf Shop and Club Storage areas in an orderly manner to include cleanliness, storage of pull carts, merchandise, range balls, etc. Incumbent oversees the operation of the golf course driving range.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school graduation (or GED/equivalent).
