As a Contract Specialist, PT-1102-2 your typical work assignments may include the following:

Possess a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field OR at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management unless on January 1, 2000, you have continually held a position in the federal service in the GS-1102 series at one of the following grade levels: GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, or GS-12.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed outside of the United States must be deemed equivalent to that gained in conventional/accredited U.S. education programs to be acceptable for Federal employment. Most foreign education is not accredited by an accrediting body that is recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education. If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
