Duties

Help
  • Determines the deadlines for processing complaints; makes decisions regarding the acceptance and dismissal of complaints; and ensures that documents are reviewed for legal sufficiency.
  • Recommends changes in management policies and workforce development practices to eliminate any barriers.
  • Conduct studies on human capital diversity related topics, including hiring, recruitment, and retention to assess operational baselines.
  • Conducts comprehensive studies, surveys, or develops questionnaires as needed to identify systemic problems or barriers to diversity problems and causes.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • The employee may be required to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory. A one-year probationary period to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties may be required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03(GS-13) grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Managing Federal EEO complaints process to include alternative dispute resolution and reasonable accommodations; (2) Producing EEO complaint statistics reports to senior leadership; and (3) Leading the development and implementation of EEO policy and programs for the workforce.
