*Superior Academic Achievement is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
1. Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
2. Grade-point average (G.P.A.) -- Applicants must have a grade-point average of:
A) 2.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or
B) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.

Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society -- Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies https://www.achshonor.org/ . Academic Year Clarification:
USAID Internship Program provides students who are currently enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in a wide variety of qualifying educational institutions. Qualifying education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education DAPIP | Homepage (ed.gov).
Please be advised that an official transcript will be required if you are selected for the position. Please include a copy of your transcript (unofficial or official) that demonstrates that you meet the education requirement listed above before the announcement's closing date. If you do not include this information before the closing date of the announcement, your application will be marked as incomplete unless your SF-50 shows that you were/are already in a Pathways Internship program in one of the following job series: 0699 or 0899.
PROOF OF ENROLLMENT FOR THE CURRENT OR UPCOMING SEMESTER. This may be documented on your official/unofficial transcripts, a course schedule, an acceptance letter from your university for future enrollment, or an official letter of enrollment from the university registrar's office or a university counselor, as long as your enrollment for the current or upcoming semester is clearly documented. If you do not provide proof of enrollment for the current or upcoming semester, you will be disqualified from further consideration.
NOTE: You must remain enrolled in the degree program for the duration of this career internship to maintain eligibility for this position and maintain good academic standing (at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA for undergraduate programs and a 3.0 GPA for graduate programs, on a 4.0 grading scale).

Interns may be non-competitively converted, without a break in service, to a term, or permanent career or career conditional appointment upon completion of program requirements. This is not automatic nor guaranteed; it is at the discretion of the employing office.
