Duties

The incumbent will serve as an IT Specialist (Systems Administrator) on the Account & Access Management Team (A&AMT), and will use various Microsoft Active Directory (AD) administration tools, Windows Servers management and monitoring tools, scripts, and Azure Cloud administration consoles to manage the lifecycle management of Microsoft Windows AD and Microsoft Azure AD Cloud environments. The A&AMT administrator will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Microsoft Windows AD administration to include lifecycle management of all account types utilized in Microsoft AD and Microsoft Azure AD.

The A&AMT member will be the subject matter expert in Organization Unit (OU) management and the Distributed File System (DFS). The A&AMT administrator and work closely with Group Policy Objects (GPO) team members. This position requires a basic understanding of PowerShell scripting, networking, security protocols, This position requires the ability to follow and contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

This position will work with AIF and other Line of Business (LOB) staff to manage on premise and in cloud Microsoft AD and Azure services to provide uninterrupted services to all customers within the FAA. Communication skills in small and medium sized groups are required to gather required information and brief out on results. The ability to ask the right questions to better understand processes and requirements from customers is a key skill for this position. The A&AMT administrator will need to effectively communicate and collaborate with peers and stakeholders to facilitate a positive customer experience and to maintain a healthy and secure AD.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H/ FG/GS-10-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is: Experience serving as an administrator in Active Directory (AD), responsible for the lifecycle management of AD objects to include user accounts, service accounts, and group objects in on-premise and Cloud environments.
