The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes:GS-9: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the basic requirements below. One year or twelve (12) months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is experience that is related to the work of this position and has provided you with the competencies required for successful job performance. Specialized experience is assisting in performing evaluation and analysis in the process of patent applications to ensure improvement in quality control initiatives; assisting in the inspection and evaluation the quality and accuracy of allowed application files in preparation for data capture by commercial sources; application of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to data; determine which applications need corrective action and ensure the action is completed with the goal of issuing accurate patents weekly, and monitor the quality and timeliness of contractor deliverables.OR

One must completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.

ORCOMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

GS-11: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the basic requirements below.
