Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Senior Asset Management Specialist GS 1101 15, your typical work assignments may include:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the DHS Real Property Asset Management Strategy that supports the national functional integration initiative to achieve an efficient and economical use of America's real property asset
  • Ensure the appropriate real property asset strategic planning, management tracking, budget, funding, evaluation,and prioritization framework is in place and maintained to ensure timely, informed asset management decisions and the strategic outcome of programs DHS wide.
  • Plan, analyze, develop, coordinate, and evaluate a comprehensive and ongoing real property asset management strategies and sets program direction, planning, and policies across component lines and Headquarters.
  • Manage and supervise staff including planning work to be accomplished by subordinates.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors), For this position, specialized experience is defined as:

  • Developing and implementing real property and asset management strategies to achieve organizational mission.;
  • Conducting studies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of real property and asset management programs.;
  • Providing guidance to senior officials on real property and asset management programs.; and
  • Providing leadership and direction to staff, including planning, organizing, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff members.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.

Time-in-grade
Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
