The Pathways Internship Program targets students accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree or certificate at an accredited educational institution. The program provides students with paid internship opportunities to explore Federal careers while in school. Students receive training to help them advance in their internship as well as work experience that augments their education. Students placed in the SEC's Career Internship Program will work with SEC staff members on various projects and assignments that cover a broad range of the Commissions' work. Internship assignments range from supporting securities regulations to assisting in professional administrative duties such as human resources, contracting, auditing, etc. Typical duties include the following:
Location: This position is located at the SEC's Headquarters building in Washington, DC. Interns will work in one of the following Divisions/ Offices:
Office of Human Resources (OHR) - The Office of Human Resources (OHR) provides leadership for the strategic management of the SEC's human capital by administering programs, establishing policies, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. It also serves as the agency's liaison to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and other federal government agencies, professional human resources organizations, educational institutions, and the private sector in matters relating to human capital management activities.
