Applicants must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is defined as directing a team of auditors and other professional or administrative staff in planning, conducting, and reporting on complex engagements that examine the economy and efficiency of USDA programs and operations, including program results, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, compliance with information technology resources, and/or the accuracy of financial reports.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.Education is required for this position.
