The Writer-Editor/Digital Media Specialist will support the Public Affairs and Advance Specialist in developing and implementing a communications strategy for the Office for Access to Justice. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Public Affairs and Advance Specialist, the detailee's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, editing, and incorporating feedback on talking points and speeches for the Director and, as needed, for Office staff.
Drafting, reviewing, and editing various written communications materials, including press releases, event readouts, technical documents, blog postings, internal communications, email notifications, newsletters, and reports.
Working with the Public Affairs and Advance Specialist to develop, write, and edit website and social media content.
Conducting periodic web and social media auditing reports.
Reviewing ATJ communications materials to ensure consistency in messaging.
Coordinating with the Department's Office of Public Affairs
The duties listed above are generally written for one grade level. If the position is advertised at multiple grades, the duties will be adjusted in difficulty, complexity, and level of supervision, for higher or lower grades, as appropriate.

Qualifications
Desired Qualification Requirements: Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or other postsecondary certification or degree, such as an associate's degree, in English, journalism, or a similar field or two years of work experience performing the duties above; specific social media platform knowledge and expertise; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; and the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
