Summary

This position is in the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Special Investigations (OSI), which is responsible for conducting DOL employee integrity and related investigations, as well as special investigative and oversight assignments as designated by the Deputy Inspector General or the Supervisory Criminal Investigator.  OSI investigates allegations of fraud, misconduct, waste, abuse, and mismanagement involving OIG and DOL employees.

Duties

Help

1.)  Coordinates, completes, and reconciles all purchases of goods and services through the use of the Government issued purchase card utilizing NCFMS.

2.)  Assists with the planning and execution of OSI’s operating budget on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

3.)  Coordinate and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations and management of OSI’s assigned government vehicle program.

4.)  Prepares comprehensive written reports, executive correspondence, memorandums, presentations, or charts based on investigative data and administrative needs.

5.)  Plan, prepare and coordinate the registration and payment of all internal and external training requirements of OSI staff.

Notification Concerning COVID-19 Vaccinations.  As required by Executive Order 14043, Federal executive branch employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee's duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law.  If selected, you will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to submit documentation of proof of vaccination or to be in the process of requesting an exception to the vaccination requirement before appointment or onboarding with the agency.  The agency will provide additional information regarding which forms of documentation can be accepted and how you can request to be considered for a legally required exception from this requirement.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service.

GS-12 - Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.  Examples of specialized experience includes but is not limited to:  1.) Experience in budget and procurement at the micro purchase level 2.) budget review, reconciliation and reporting 3.) contract oversight as the project manager 4.) coordination and oversight of the office monthly government fleet 5.) compile analyze and prepare reports of statistical facts and review/edits of written reports 6.) document and products for management review.

GS-13 - Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include, but not limited to: 1.) Execution of budget and procurement acts as a purchase card holder or approver  2.) budget review and reconciliation 3.) contract oversight and management as a COR or project manager 4.) oversight and management of government fleet vehicle program 5.) compilation, analysis and reporting of statistical facts, and review/editing of written products for executive level referrals.

This position will not be filled until the Department's Placement Assistance Programs have been fully utilized.

This position is outside the bargaining unit.

No Permanent Change of Station Funds (PCS) will be offered.

This position is telework eligible based on managements' determination.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the required specialized experience at the GS-12 level.
