Position located in the Rehabilitation and Extended Care Service Line in the Community Living Center. The Community Living Center is a 38 bed unit that specializes in caring for veterans in need of transitional care for veterans in need of wound care, placement, radiation, chemotherapy, rehabilitation, antibiotic therapy, and hospice care. The Registered Nurse will report to the designated Nurse Manager in the Rehabilitation and Extended Care Integrated Clinical Community. Registered Nurse must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative, interdisciplinary practice setting. The Fargo VA Health Care System (HCS) is a Joint Commission accredited medical/surgical hospital with 36 acute care beds, a 38 bed Community Living Center, Primary Care and Specialty Clinics, and 10 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located across North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
The Fargo VA HCS oversees the provision of health care to more than 36,000 Veterans living in North Dakota, 17 counties in northwest Minnesota, and one northeast South Dakota county. The Fargo VA HCS has approximately 300,000 outpatient visits annually and is affiliated with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, providing training to medical students, and Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, and Surgery resident physicians and also a training facility for nursing and allied health care students.
