Status Candidates, Noncompetitive, Former Federal Employees with Reinstatement Eligibility, Land & base management, VEOA, Individuals with Disabilities, Military Spouses, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Vista, Eligible Family Member, Special authorities, ICTAP, and CTAP.
Conducting analyses to detect the existence of fraud, waste, and/or mismanagement in Department or USAGM management and operations.
Developing quantitative and qualitative data by reviewing, analyzing, and extracting pertinent data from files and reports.
Participates in developing conclusions and prepares written draft findings; ensuring all findings are supportable, meet standards, and conclusions and recommendations are sound and reasonable.
Participates in comprehensive audits, evaluations, and special inquiries of Department organizational entities located in crisis and post-conflict areas but may include domestic entities and other overseas posts.
Works effectively as a team member and collaborate information with the Audit Manager and other team members. Maintains effective relationships with staff members and officials of audited entities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A. Applicants must have a degree from an accredited college or university in auditing OR a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, economics, public administration, public policy, accounting, international relations, international affairs, or political science.
OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Have at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge AND meet 1 or 2 below:
A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination.
Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in accounting or auditing, (e.g., 15 semester hours).
