Duties

Help

As a Maintenance Worker your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Install, maintain, and perform repairs to large plastic irrigation pipe, valves, and air vents.
  • Operate common hand and power tools and measuring devices to perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Perform custodial duties on facilities, trails, and parking areas.
  • Perform minor construction and repair on existing structures
  • Operate farm type tractors, loaders, or similar all-terrain vehicles over uneven surface.
  • Perform care and maintenance of gasoline, diesel, and/or electric powered equipment.

  • This position may require the employee to obtain and maintain a valid Class A State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate various vehicles and equipment.
  • This position may be subject to physical examination and drug and alcohol testing requirements as established by the Department of Transportation (49 CFR 391.41 (b)(l) through (b)(13).
  • Drug Testing Position: Selectees tentatively selected for this position may be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
