Help
  • Assists in determining office effectiveness and efficiency in accomplishing goals and management initiatives and in executing and implementing administrative management actions that support the objectives of the organization to which assigned
  • Collaborates with program directors to monitor management initiatives, strategic plans, and organizational objectives and program goals.
  • Assists in analyses of various administrative related data to determine efficiencies, historical trends, and weaknesses.
  • Coordinates with other BC offices on such administrative requirements as information technology management, oversight activities, civil rights data collection, travel arrangements, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in developing the annual plan of work/calendar of events/meetings to plan and project the effective utilization of the organization's resources.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-07 grade level for consideration for the GS-09 grade level; one year at the GS-09 grade level for consideration for the GS-11 grade level).

For the GS-09 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Assisting with gathering data; conducting research; administering and tracking program requirements; participates in conducting studies of organizational efficiency; providing basic recommendations for improving methods/processes.; OR master's or equivalent graduate degreeOR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying at this grade level.

For the GS-11 level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations; researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations; working with senior analyst on developing strategic vision for annual goals and long-range plans of operations throughout all organizational units; identifying and assembling narrative and statistical source information relating to programs and administrative functions; preparing initial work plans and draft reports based on existing procedures and/or observation of the program activities; OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying at this grade level.
