As a Building Services Specialist, you will serve as the technical advisor performing a variety of programmatic and analytical responsibilities for oversight, management and analysis of energy utilization and management systems such as Building Automation Systems (BAS).

The Chicagoland Service Operations Division is responsible for all aspects of facility operations, including operating, maintaining, and sustaining high quality work environments.
As a Building Services Specialist, you will also be required to coordinate actions with staff supporting other systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

The GS-12 salary range starts at $85,084 per year.
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described below.
Specialized experience is experience developing, implementing, and analyzing energy procedures and guidance related to the efficiency of commercial office buildings. This experience must include evaluating and implementing building automation systems and energy management programs and serving as a technical expert on building mechanical and electrical systems.
NOTE: Qualifications are based on length and level of experience. Therefore, in addition to describing duties performed, applicants must provide the exact dates of each period of employment (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours per week if part time.
