Duties

Help

  • Evaluates Spatial Data informational needs and methodologies and how to meet those needs. Coordinates with other PBS business lines such as IT, Data Management Unit, Asset Managers, Property Managers, Service Centers and Design and Construction. Collaborates with Central Office SDM on evaluating processes and procedures and clarifications. 
  • Performs Initial Measurement Verifications (IMV) measuring tasks, space Audits and Re-walks of Federally Owned and Leased buildings. Provides AutoCAD services and support, such as preparing site plans, scenario drawings, assignment plans data reports and updating existing electronic floor plans and data. Implements the National Business Space Assignment Policy (NBSAP) for IMV's and maintenance of CAD drawing files. Plans and schedules SDM process milestones and reports out to the SDM Program Manager. 
  • Leads training sessions on SDM business process, SDM life cycle, eSMART.  Creates informational slides and materials for training sessions on SDM business process, SDM life cycle, eSmart, Drawing and Request Tracking System (DARTS) and CFR.
  • Serves as consultant to other PBS staff and divisions on all matters relating to spatial data management, classification and projected space changes.
  • Responsible for maintaining the DARTS request website and preparing deliverables.
  • Responsible for initiating, managing and evaluating all SDM projects, both internal and those completed by SDM contractors.
  • Evaluates and improves the effectiveness of designated business/program operations, processes, projects and/or systems. Actively participates on national data integrity project teams. Responds to both basic and complex internal or customer inquiries.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $88,651.00 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience creating, analyzing, maintaining and modifying drawings using the Automated Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) Map 3D software; verifying accuracy of spatial data for buildings and building features; and analyzing and creating reports to track progress of construction projects. This experience must include applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing or improving spatial data management (SDM) and providing training and/or presentations on the status of contractor accomplishments.

  • Analytical skills to apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of real property facilities management.
  • Knowledge of varied software applications, i.e., DARTS, REXUS, eSMART, CFR, EASi, OATOOL, AutoCAD. WORD, EXCEL, MS Powerpoint, and MS Publisher.
  • Skill in oral and written communications in order to obtain compliance, articulate complex technical information and to conduct briefings and training.
  • Knowledge of methodologies to perform systems and data management analysis.
  • Knowledge of contract management and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of current trends in real estate industry practices and technologies.
