Duties

Help

Applies experience and advanced knowledge pertaining to social media engagement, content marketing and optimization. Uses graphics tools to perform basic graphics manipulations (i.e., resizing). He/she supports the Social Media Manager and team with technical logistics and data reports of social media campaigns and daily postings across multiple social media channels, to include scheduling/calendar creation, content optimization, reviewing user comments/questions, measurement, etc.

Performs data research for content development for social media posts, blog posts, new initiatives, and presentations in a timely manner. Analyzes and evaluates data from various analytical/monitoring tools (i.e., Meltwater, Twitter, lnstagram, Facebook, XML, Tableau, Boolean, and Python) and influences networks to support maintenance and growth of digital channels.

Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach(es) or recommend new approaches. He/she makes suggestions regarding digital media content collection through strategic email lists and XML generation to communicate critical information to the public and key stakeholders in a timely manner. Works closely with the AOC teams to develop the best monitor and capture digital media information that is critical for FAA leadership.

Supports the Social Media Manager to strategize new and innovative ways to use social media to further the agency's mission, goals, and priorities. Contacts typically are internal and external, with regular contacts among major subdivisions and LOB's/SO's, customers, and other external parties to share information about the FAA and explain the application of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-11/FV-G) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience with multiple social media tools, including posting, scheduling, and metrics reporting.

You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history. Errors or omissions may impact your rating or may result in you not being considered.
