As a technical specialist, assists with research, development and implementation of various geospatial analytical and technological solutions that allow for successful geospatial data collection and analysis for various studies and programs. Utilizes knowledge of geodesy, photogrammetry, remote sensing, mapping, engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and computers to plan, coordinate, and accomplish all geospatial analysis, and related GIS tasks necessary to support a variety of projects in support of Geospatial Branch, Kansas City District and Corps missions. Applies knowledge and experience with geographic, cartographic, and land surveying practices and methodologies for the creation and analysis of geospatial data. The work involves a wide variety of techniques for on-going programs and many projects that require analytical procedures. Establishes individual products schedules, reports on progress to supervisor and monitors hours spent on products.

Experience required:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Interpreting geospatial data and mapping products in areas such as remote sensing, photogrammetry, and hydrographic surveying. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service at the GS-09 level.
