This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1297000 and is part of the CO CSMS 07, National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions.
Summary

This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1297000 and is part of the CO CSMS 07, National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions.
Plans overall allocation of personnel and resources for the organization. Ensures accomplishment of work operations which because of their scope, volume, and complexity are planned on a year or longer basis. Explains work requirements to subordinate supervisors, sets deadlines and sequence of operations. Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by supervisors. Develops, publishes, and ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Must be a current Permanent Dual Status Federal Technician in the Colorado Army National Guard.
Must hold the grade of O-3 or O-4.

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more complicated systems.
2. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment.
3. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
4. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.
5. Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.
6. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines.
7. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function.
8. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.
9. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.
