The Office of Resolution Management, Diversity, and Inclusion (ORMDI) supports the VA's commitment to improving the lives of employees, Veterans, families, caregivers, and survivors to ensure equitable treatment and experiences with VA. ORMDI is responsible for managing EEO complaints for all of VA and advises senior leaders via governance boards and processes on a wide range of issues to eliminate barriers for underserved communities advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (I*DEA).

Duties

Help

  • Serve as a team leader for human resources (HR) liaison functions that assist staff offices with operational initiatives.
  • Prepare status reports on current workload.
  • Develop formal written advisory determinations in response to operating procedures or customer requests.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of HR operational programs in meeting established goals.
  • Prepare analytical reports on various HR activities e.g. staffing rosters, position numbers, gains and losses, time to hire metrics, etc.
  • Distribute workloads among employees in accordance with established workflow to ensure timely completion of priorities.
  • Provide training on technical aspects of HR to promote effective team development.
  • Support ORMDI regarding HR services i.e. classification, position management, recruitment and placement, on-boarding, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.

Time-in-grade: Applicants who are/were federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 level. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary although some slight physical effort may be required.

Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this

To qualify for the GS-14 To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-13) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Distributing workload to ensure timely completion of priorities; (2) Providing HR practitioners on technical aspects of HR to promote effective development; (3) Providing support for a diverse federal workforce in at least three of the following HR services: classification, position management, recruitment and placement, on-boarding, benefits, performance management, and employee relations; AND (4) Advising managers on federal HR strategies regarding HR activities in recruitment, engagement, and retention.

Note: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience you document, to include volunteer experience

Education

There is no educational substitution for the GS-14 level.
