Duties

Help

As a Program Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serve as an advisor to management and leadership on developing and implementing strategic plans in support of achieving conservation grant program objectives.
  • Manage Federal financial assistance (grants & cooperative agreements) to advise, review, evaluate, or resolve issues related to long-term plans for programs and corresponding projects.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of conservation grant program accomplishments.
  • Develop and implement program policies, plans, guidelines, proposals, and processes which cross functional lines.
  • Present and explain information and data analyses to various audiences through different formats and mediums, such as presentations and briefings, program status reports, and coordination with local staff, regional and mission area executives, and other organizational contacts.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion.

Qualifications

Only experience and education obtained by 04/11/2023 will be considered.

In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification.

Minimum Qualification [GS-15]

  1. One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Experience must include Serving as an advisor to management and leadership on developing and implementing strategic plans in support of achieving conservation grant program objectives; Planning, organizing, and overseeing efforts and projects that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of conservation grant program accomplishments; Managing short and long-range planning activities that include multi-year work plans that are the products of subordinate organizational projects/programs; Developing and implementing program policies, plans, guidelines, proposals, and processes which cross functional lines; Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no education requirement or substitution of education for experience for this position.

Additional information

Duty station negotiable, you may be placed at a regional office, field office, current duty station, or other DOI-owned or leased worksite at the discretion of management. Additional questions regarding placement should be reserved for the interview process.

PCS INFORMATION:
Yes, entitlements for payment of basic moving expenses, as required and to the extent allowed by the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) 302-3.101, are authorized for eligible applicants changing duty station when the change meets the distance tests as provided in FTR 302-1.1 and 302-2.6. All moving expenses are taxable.
-In addition, relocation discretionary entitlements May be authorized for this position excluding contractor-provided home sale.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

This vacancy will utilize a multiple hurdle assessment process to determine the qualifications of applicants.
