Provides commodity review and technical evaluation for proposed new NSNs and NSN revisions.
Assists other Federal agencies and industry representatives in interpreting cataloging data, in understanding cataloging processes, and in the resolution of complex cataloging problems.
Prepares and presents technical recommendations to industry for enhancement of assigned commodities.

The GS-11 salary range starts at $65,307 per year. The GS-12 salary range starts at $78,277 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in order to research, analyze and resolve issues and problems in two or more of the following specialty supply areas: supply program management; inventory management; distribution facilities and storage management; packaging ;and supply cataloging.

Possess a 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree Ph.D.

Combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined together qualify you for this position.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
