    This position is a Supervisory Fish Biologist, GS- 0482-13 working in Vernal, UT or Leavenworth, WA for the Green River Basin Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office or the Mid-Columbia River Fisheries Resource Office.

    As a Supervisory Fish Biologist your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

    As Project Leader, the incumbent is responsible for the overall planning and execution of work at FWCO and hatcheries. These programs involve the identification, development/planning, and implementation of hatchery production evaluations, investigative projects, field studies, sub-basin and basin management plans; development and negotiation of interagency agreements, development and/or prioritization of budgets, budget justifications, and impact statements; identification, prioritization, and implementation of habitat restoration projects; and development of policy, guidance, or direction necessary for the restoration, protection, enhancement, management, and harvest of fishery resources. The incumbent is required to provide leadership, coordination, and direction both within the Service and with other fishery agencies, tribes, and cooperators. The incumbent may supervises fish biologists at FWCOs and hatcheries as well as administrative staff.
