    Salary: $83,615 (Step 01) to $108,705 (Step 10); NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.

    As a Supervisory Hydrologic Technician with the Nevada Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:

    • Collection of surface-water, groundwater, and water quality data.
    • Supervising subordinates.
    • Analyzing hydrologic data.
    • Production and management of scientific records.

    WORK CONDITIONS: Field work may include climbing rocky and steep terrain, wading streams, and lifting equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. This position may require moderate risks such as measuring from highway bridges, in swift streams, and from boats or cableways. Incumbent is exposed to extreme weather conditions such as rain, snow, extreme temperatures and hazards such as flooding, ice and insect bites.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight travel of up to 4 nights per month may be required.
