Summary

As an International Trade Center Manager, you will serve as a Branch Chief and overall Project Manager for the International Trade Center (ITC), a major innovative business venture that serves as a model for public and private partnerships.  The ITC occupies approximately 500,000 sq. ft. of the Ronald Reagan Building (RRB) and consists of a mix of office, exhibition, conference, and retail space.

Duties

Help

As an International Trade Center Manager, you will perform the following duties:

Develop the overall operating policy for the International Trade Center (ITC) consisting of office, exhibition, conference/event spaces, food service and retail spaces, and the parking garage. Develops, implements, and administer agency policy, regulations, directives, and procedures relating to the utilization of real property and the procurement of construction, service, and large-scale realty contracts.

Manage the ITC operations, including oversight of the Trade Center Management contract. Lead and provide complex technical guidance to hundreds of contractors hired under the management contract. Monitors performance, interacts with corporate principals, and recommends modifications to the contract, as appropriate.

Serve as a GSA-wide technical authority and expert on the ITC program. Develop innovative approaches and procedures that will have widespread impact and will serve as models for future out leasing projects undertaken by the agency nationwide.

Represent the Director, the ARA, PBS, and GSA in discussions concerning the ITC with top officials of Federal Agencies, State and local governments, private industry, and representatives of foreign governments.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $121,316 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience developing, implementing and administering agency policy, regulations, directives, and procedures relating to the utilization of real property and the procurement of construction, service, and large-scale realty contracts.

  2. Ability to direct and manage a large, complex, long-term innovative trade-related function and establishing, maintaining, and administering a working capital fund with revenues generated from use of the public access space.
  3. Ability to make major decisions; collaborate with customers; and implement policies that have a direct and substantial effect on PBS programs, policies, and operations.
  4. Skill in conducting formal briefings, meetings, conferences and unplanned contacts for which the incumbent is designated as a contact point. Skill in extensive preparation of briefing materials or up-to-date technical familiarity with complex subject matter.
