Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises building operations for the headquarters complex buildings.
Directs and evaluates all operations activities to assure that occupants receive specified buildings services.
Provides leadership to subordinate employees and serves as technical advisor on the full range of issues specific to the office directed.
Responsible for building operations, renovations and maintenance programs, space utilization, contract administration and financial and personnel management.
Directs and evaluates all operations activities to assure that occupants receive specified buildings services.
Participates in long-range planning to ensure the integration of office objectives with the agency's initiatives.
Plans a continuing and comprehensive evaluation of the Office?s operation to define priorities, ensure its efficient and effective operation and provide building management services.

Qualifications
You must have 52 weeks of *Specialized Experience. This experience must have been gained in a federal position at or above GS-12 OR (if your position/experience is in another federal payscale or outside of federal service) by performing duties at a level equivalent to those performed in a federal position at or above GS-12. This specialized experience must have provided you with the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the functions of this GS-1176-13 Building Manager position.

*Specialized Experience should primarily consist of directing, coordinating and/or overseeing building operations, maintenance, repair and improvement projects.
Duties should include managing building services activities designed to promote occupant comfort and safety; conducting interior and exterior inspections of building systems; identifying and resolving building operation needs (e.g., maintenance, repair, new construction or equipment), developing plans for minor repair and improvement projects; providing technical advice on building services contracts; writing specifications for construction, maintenance or custodial services contracts; applying knowledge of building management programs and procedures; recommending resources to devote to repair, alteration and maintenance projects and working in conjunction with the activities of contractors.

Next steps
If you applied correctly and provided a valid email address in your Biographical Information, you will receive an Acknowledgement of Occupational Questionnaire. This is not an indication that your application is complete. Follow the instructions in the "How to Apply" and "Required Documents" sections to ensure that you submit a complete application.
It is recommended that you "View/Print My Answers" at the conclusion of the online questionnaire to ensure that you have answered every question AND to confirm that you've submitted all required documents.
To review your application and verify receipt of your documents, log into USAJOBS and click on this announcement number. Choose "Additional Application Information" then "Accept and Proceed." Under "Assessments" you should see a status of 'complete' for the Assessment Questionnaire.' Under "Documents" you should see a list of the documents you submitted. (Documents annotated as 'not received' may not be required - consult the Required Documents section to verify.) Click 'View" next to each document you submitted to ensure you have submitted the intended version.
