The National Security Division (NSD) leads the Department's efforts to prevent and combat terrorism and to protect the national security. NSD provides legal and policy advice on national security matters, litigates counterterrorism, counterespionage, and foreign intelligence surveillance matters. The NSD's Executive Office provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and technical support to the Division's Sections and Offices.
Summary

The NSD's Executive Office provides comprehensive administrative, financial, and technical support to the Division's Sections and Offices.
This position is responsible for providing direct operational guidance to the Executive Officer of the Executive Office (EO), and for managing a variety of project, program, and event coordination activities. These major duties are conducted in order to streamline, enhance, and support EO, NSD, and cross-component initiatives that impact administrative operations, and employee engagement and recognition activities.
You may be required to complete a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience must include: 1) leading a project or managing a segment of a project that impacts administrative operations or mission support functions (HR, IT, Acquisitions, and Grants); 2) planning and coordinating events such as conferences, briefings, official programs, and/or social functions; and 3) contributing to or implementing guidance, standard operating procedures, and/or policy to improve workplace processes.
