Candidates seeking employment with the EPA under this vacancy announcement will be hired as an EPA Green Intern. The EPA Green Intern Program is an entry-level program for individuals interested in opportunities with the EPA at EPA Headquarters Offices in Washington, DC, as well as with our Regional Offices and in major cities across the U.S. EPA Green Interns will be part of a one-year program and will join the Agency at the GS-07 grade level. This is a Recent Graduates position in the Pathways program. This program provides individuals who have completed a qualifying associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, professional, doctorate, vocational, or technical degree or certificate with an entry-level developmental experience with the potential to lead to a career in the Federal government after successfully completing the program. Your salary will be based on the grade level for which you are selected and the duty location of the position.
This is a one-year developmental program which may lead to a term or permanent appointment.
Upon completion of the developmental program, you may be noncompetitively converted to a term or permanent position without further competition.
This position is in the bargaining unit.
