Duties

Help

  • Provides management and direction over Human Resources services including classification, recruitment, compensation and benefits.
  • Exercises managerial authority to strategize and oversee complex human resources initiatives, programs or projects.
  • Serves as principal advisor to the highest levels of management within SI on all recruitment, sourcing, and related program issues.
  • Represents the Director, OHR, as necessary at conferences and meetings and speaks authoritatively on issues related to the areas of specializations.
  • Provides oversight and develops alternative pay for SI/Trust to include the reward salary, salary benchmarking, pension arrangements, benefits management, and annual compensation events.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the Grade14 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system.  For this position Specialized experience is defined as experience managing human resources activities for a variety of functional areas in Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits.  In addition,  experience developing, interpreting, or advising senior management on human resources policies, regulations, concepts, and workforce reshaping; and strategizing and formulating long-term recruitment and employment goals that directly impact agency-wide initiatives is required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience. Be sure to note the number of paid or unpaid hours worked each week.
