This job opportunity is for a Laborer and is located in the Day Laborer Unit, Warehousing Section, Decennial Logistics Branch (DLB), National Processing Center in Jeffersonville, IN. This position furnishes labor services for a wide variety of activities related to the Decennial Census. This position is in the bargaining unit.

Selectees will initially report to the main Jeffersonville campus and then will move to the off-site Decennial facility located at 100 Logistics Ave., Jeffersonville, IN 47130 which is approximately 7.8 miles from the main National Processing Center campus.
The individual selected for this position will:
Tour of Duty: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Various flexible work schedules are not available.
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Frequently lifts and carries boxes and material 30 - 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts, carries, and moves heavy material and equipment weighing 50 - 70 pounds. Frequently pushes, pulls, moves or handles heavy furniture, loaded carts, and warehouse trucks weighing hundreds of pounds such as rolling bins, loaded warehouse trucks, and heavy components from assembly of pallet racking, shelving, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Required to work outdoors, occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions. Indoors working conditions may be dirty and dusty, hot or cold. The tools, equipment and heavy objects involved occasionally present chances of serious injury (e.g. broken bones, serious cuts, strained back).
PHYSICAL EXAM: Selectee will be required to pass a physical examination, prior to effective date of selection to this position. Cost of physical will be the responsibility of selectee.
INTERVIEW WORK SAMPLE: Applicants selected for an interview will be required to participate in an on site work sample during the interview process. Applicants should dress appropriately to participate in the work sample. The work sample will consist of the following:
