Location of Position:
Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Office of Fleet Management, Maintenance and Accident Management Branch (MAMB), Kansas City, MO.
The FAS Maintenance and Accident Management Branch is responsible for providing Nationwide support to customers and other Fleet personnel on a diverse range of technical, administrative, and analytical functions related to the MAMB.

As a Transportation Operations Specialist (Motor), you will perform a variety of technical and analytical determinations regarding the nature of accidents and required repairs, costs associated with or projected for repair, and related determinations involving driver and/or third-party liability.

The GS-9 salary range starts at $50,918 and the GS-11 starts at $61,605 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-9:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is assisting in managing, purchasing, operating, and/or maintaining a fleet of government-owned or commercial motor vehicles. This experience must have included:

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing a fleet of government-owned or commercial motor vehicles using an automated fleet management system. This experience must have included:

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Quality Ranking Factors (QRFs) : QRFs are knowledge, skills, and abilities that could be expected to significantly enhance performance in a position, but are not essential for satisfactory performance. Applicants who possess such KSA's may be ranked above those who do not, but no one may be rated ineligible solely for failure to possess such KSA's . The Quality Ranking Factor for this position is the ability to acquire and maintain Fleet Warrant Program certification, which includes formal training, experience and 12 semester hours of college credit.
