    The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and Staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 650 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.

    The incumbent provides senior level administrative support to the Chief Operations Officer (COO)/IT Directors. The incumbent performs all general administrative duties in assisting the COO/Director in the operation of the activities of the group. This position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities. Primary duties include but are not limited to: 1) Ensures efficient operation and coverage of telephones. Maintains filing system.

    2) Maintains and updates the Attendance and Leave Records for the staff, ensuring that the records are accurate and meets audit requirements.

    3) Coordinates office services, including development and monitoring of policies necessary for executive office support.

    4) Carries out special projects as assigned. Manages travel arrangements for staff, completing required documentation for reimbursements. Schedule all meetings, conferences and teleconferences as required.

    5) Performs other official duties as assigned.
