Directs a staff with responsibility for the day-to-day operations including planning work to be accomplished by setting and adjusting priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work; gives advice, counsel, or instructions to employees on both work and administrative matters; recommends appointments, promotions, or reassignments for positions in the unit; effects disciplinary measures; identifies developmental and training needs; finds ways to improve production or increase quality of unit's work; develops performance standards; and approve requests for leave. Provides expert IT technical solutions, advice, guidance, and recommendations to top management officials and other specialists in the areas of Salesforce.com, Applications Project Management and cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Management, some of which are critical in nature and essential to the accomplishment of the client agency’s mission. Develops new, and refining existing policies to implement IT development, security and operations (DevSecOps) best practices, to improve efficiencies, and increase impact and effectiveness of IT initiatives. Reviews and/or prepares reports and/or papers on important and complex matters which influence not only the immediate work group, but which have widespread impact in terms of current and/or future programs.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $114,590.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies AND one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service as described below:
IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is defined as experience configuring and administering Salesforce.com applications used in enterprise-wide environments; conducting business requirements analysis; and providing technical guidance and oversight of enterprise-wide cloud Platform-as-a-Service applications. Experience must include providing technology advice and consultation to teams, top management, and vendor partners, in the areas of: IT security, agile project management, software release management, cloud-based application development, data architecture and user experience design.
