Positions are assigned to the Western Service Center, in the Public Buildings Service (PBS), Pacific Rim Region, General Services Administration (GSA). The incumbents manage projects to insure the quality completion of those projects on time and within budget. Utilizes and applies professional skills and abilities in the management of projects from a long-term perspective. The Project Manager's role ends only after the intended end result of the project (i.e., a fully occupied and operational facility) has been achieved. Delegated a broad authority for independent action and decision-making with respect to specified projects and is relied upon to provide accurate, timely and judicious advice and assistance to his/her supervisor and management officials within PBS.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $73,884 per year.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-11, in the Federal service.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the Basic Requirements listed above, you must have one year of Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service is performing project management on construction and/or repair and alteration projects to include: writing scope of work documents and technical specifications; preparing independent, in-house cost estimates; designing and coordinating construction schedules; conducting progress meetings with multiple stakeholders; being accountable for project expenses and funding; negotiating contract specifications and project plans, administering provisions of contracts; and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, while meeting customer service goals.
