**Overview**
The Supreme Court Police Department is a federal law enforcement agency in Washington, D.C. We enforce Federal and District of Columbia laws and regulations. We provide a full range of police services and specialty units, including:
* Dignitary Protection
* Residential Security
* Protective Intelligence
* K-9
* Nuclear, Biological, Chemical
* Liaison roles with FBI, JTTF, DHS, USCP, etc.
* Instructors: Firearms, Driving, Defensive Tactics
**Qualifications**
To be eligible, applicants must be:
* U.S. Citizen.
* Within six months of turning 21 years of age, but not yet 39 years of age. Age exception:
* Applicants over the age of 39 currently covered under the FERS law enforcement retirement (6c). See *5 U.S. Code 8425(d)*.
* An applicant's education or experience must include **one** of the following:
* Three years of work history; or
* An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution (or being within six months of graduation); or
* Three years of active duty military service; or
* One year of full-time experience as a sworn police officer, including military police and similar roles.
