Enrolled students or individuals accepted for enrollment seeking a diploma, certificate, or bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree from a qualifying educational institution on a full- or half-time basis, including awardees of the Harry S. Truman Foundation Scholarship Program.

- Analyze and summarize a variety of environmental program information data for use in preparing reports and program evaluations. - Perform studies of a standard nature on regulatory and compliance issues and problems. - Prepare initial recommendations for solutions to be reviewed by higher graded staff. - Support higher-graded staff in planning for program management of environmental programs. - Assist staff in preparation of materials for, and participation in, briefings with managers and review literature for assessment and information gathering.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently as your career progresses.

Qualifications
In addition to the eligibility requirements for the Pathways Internship Program, Pathways Interns qualify for an initial appointment based on their educational achievements as described below:
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have completed one full academic year of graduate level education; or a bachelor’s degree with superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition).
To qualify for the GS-09 level, you need to have completed two academic years of graduate level education; or a master’s degree or equivalent degree.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education

Salary will be based on the grade level for which you are selected and the duty location of the position.
