The White House Stenography Office seeks candidates with hybrid skillsets across transcription, editing, and research. Based in Washington, D.C., this fulltime position as an Associate Stenographer entails frequent travel and a rigorous schedule. This opportunity offers a front-row seat to history recording, transcribing, and proofreading public remarks of senior government officials in the federal government.
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Ability to transcribe a minimum of 60 words per minute with 70-80% accuracy.
- Demonstrated professional experience in writing and proofreading
- Exceptional attention to detail, effective communications skills within a team, and a high degree of professionalism
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of current U.S. domestic and international issues
