The supervisory probation administrator will serve as the business lead of the Probation and Pretrial Services Office's IT product portfolio. The executive level administrator will own the product vision, strategy, and business implementation for current and future IT products, connecting product development with overall business goals and enterprise-wide objectives.

The Lead Business Advisor (LBA) works in close partnership with the Lead Technical Advisor (LTA), ensuring that business strategy and technical execution remain aligned without duplicating system-ownership authority. This role is essential for ensuring that current and future probation and pretrial services IT product development and implementation maintain strategic integrity, preventing unauthorized scope or schedule shifts while ensuring that user engagement remains productive and aligned with enterprise-wide.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Exercising executive oversight of Business Owner responsibilities, ensuring that all project execution, change management, and product strategies are strictly aligned with the overall enterprise business strategy
  2. Enforcing a formal governance framework for PPSO IT products, requiring that all changes to scope, schedule, or resources be vetted against strategic business objectives and formally authorized by the Executive Management Group (EMG) before implementation. Ensure that any change with material impact on scope, schedule, or budget is documented, analyzed, and decided through EMG governance.
  3. Establishing and maintain an authoritative, single product roadmap that clearly articulates scope, sequencing, and release timing, ensuring all stakeholders, including the field and the EMG, operate from a unified vision to prioritize highest-impact capabilities that deliver measurable operations value to the field.
  4. Providing the EMG with high-level, transparent visibility into project status, proactively highlighting the tension between project constraints (scope, schedule, budget) and field-level demands. Co-chair regular executive sessions with AO leadership to review program progress, confirm alignment with EMG decisions, rapidly surface emerging issues, and enable agile but disciplined executive decision-making.
  5. Developing and execute a comprehensive stakeholder leadership engagement strategy that balances the needs of the Probation and Pretrial Services leadership community with the product's technical and fiscal parameters.
  6. Developing a business-focused governance strategy for evaluating future AI integration proposals, ensuring any AI capability considered for the roadmap is vetted and formally authorized by the EMG before adoption.
