Duties

Help

  • Plans, organizes, and manages the security activities of assigned programs at contractor and government locations ensuring that all elements of protection complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs throughout the program.
  • Administers the physical, information, industrial, personnel and operations security programs as applied to assigned activities/sytems.
  • Administers Program Protection Planning efforts.
  • Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations as well as govenrment customers and contracted organizations.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in planning, organizing and managing the security activities of assigned programs at locations ensuring that all elements of protection complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs throughout the program; administering the physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security programs as applied to assigned activities/systems. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Expert in program protection, system security, technology assessment and control, foreign military sales, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Expert ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Center Commander.
3. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
5. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-03 equivalent to a GS-12 to GS-13.
