The duties and responsibilities for a IT Project Manager, GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinates IT project management activities, resources, equipment, and information related to the delivery of products, platforms, or services to agencies and the public.
  • Provides IT advice, assistance and training to customers who manage the development, production, and sustainment of systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT Specialists and contractors in the analysis and development of future software design and programming techniques.
  • Develops comprehensive information on the system data inputs, outputs, and related (IT) concerns.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the IT Project Manager position, you must meet the following time in grade requirements and minimum qualifications:

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible. Please see Required Documents for additional information). Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year.

AND

Minimum Qualification Requirement:
Under the updated Competency-Based Qualification Standard for the IT Management Series (2210), applicants must:

  1. Demonstrate you have the required specialized experience for the position,
  2. Meet or exceed all required general competencies at the minimum proficiency level for the GS-13 grade.

FOR THE GS-13 LEVEL:

Specialized Experience
You must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies related to the work of this position, normally attained through the equivalent of one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, or obtained through other means. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
  1. Managing and coordinating IT resources, products, and services;
  2. Analyzing project risk and recommending corrective action to enhance project performance and success;
  3. Developing technical briefings for senior leadership to support IT strategy planning and project execution.
Specialized experience must show demonstrable competencies aligned to the position's job analysis and the IT-2210 standard.

Conditions of Employment: Only U.S. citizens or nationals are eligible for employment with the EOIR. Dual citizenship will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must also meet DOJ's residency requirement by having, for at least 3 of the 5 years immediately preceding application, either: (1) resided in the U.S., (2) worked overseas for the U.S. Government or military, or (3) been a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas.

This position is open to Competitive Merit Promotion, Non-Competitive, and Special Hiring Authority eligibles. You must meet the requirements for one of the following categories to be eligible.

The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) seeks highly-qualified individuals to join our team of expert professionals in becoming a part of our challenging and rewarding Agency. The primary mission of the EOIR is to adjudicate immigration cases by fairly, expeditiously, and uniformly interpreting and administering the Nation's immigration laws. Under delegated authority from the Attorney General, EOIR conducts immigration court proceedings, appellate reviews, and administrative hearings. EOIR consists of three adjudicatory components: The Office of the Chief Immigration Judge, which is responsible for managing the Immigration Courts where Immigration Judges adjudicate individual cases; the Board of Immigration Appeals, which primarily conducts appellate reviews of these Immigration Judge decisions; and the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, which adjudicates immigration-related employment cases.
