As a PROGRAM MANAGER (CWMD TECHNOLOGIES) at the GS-0340-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Serves as the Program Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned programs and projects.
  • Develops detailed project plans, identifies key cost, schedule, and performance parameters, and identifies resource and manpower requirements.
  • Utilizes tools and methods to track progress throughout the project life cycle, convenes regular in-progress reviews, and maintains interaction with all stakeholders.
  • Regularly briefs senior leadership on project status, significant developments, and changes in resources that impact established timelines and milestones.
  • Ensures compliance with all required acquisition processes per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to manage contract performance.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Application of program management principles to integrate project scope, schedules, milestones, budgets, and stakeholder responsibilities;
  • Developing detailed project plans, identifying key cost, schedule, and performance parameters, and sequencing events and work efforts to ensure proper allocation of resources;
  • Utilizing program management tools and methods to track progress throughout the project life cycle, monitor work in progress, and evaluate effectiveness in achieving objectives;
  • Assisting in the development of acquisition plans, source selection plans, and other contractual documents to ensure requirements are essential and cost-effective, and;
  • Serving as or closely with a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), initiating acquisition and funding documents, and ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplements (DFARS).

ACQUISITION POSITION:

  • This is an Acquisition Workforce position in the Program Management functional area. The incumbent will be required to become certified in the Practitioner tier within 4 years. The incumbent is required to acquire a minimum of 40 continuous learning points (CLPs) every fiscal year as a goal and 80 CLPs being mandatory within 2 years.
