You will serve as Inventory Management Specialist at the GG-12 grade level within Naval Communications Security Material Systems (NCMS) responsible for COMSEC equipment management, distribution, accountability, and disposal.
Summary
You will serve as Inventory Management Specialist at the GG-12 grade level within Naval Communications Security Material Systems (NCMS) responsible for COMSEC equipment management, distribution, accountability, and disposal.
You will utilize the Common Tier (CT-1) system to review, evaluate, plan, and transfer COMSEC Equipment to ensure proper distribution and handling of COMSEC material.
You will process all official written and voice request regarding disposition, transfer, destruction, and issuance of COMSEC equipment for the Department of the Navy (DON).
You will track the receipt and response to 100 percent of the COMSEC related messages and emails addressed to NCMS.
You will assign daily tasks to designated COMSEC managers and maintains a systematic record to track the progress and completion of incoming COMSEC request.
You will manage the “Release of COMSEC equipment related guidance” in accordance with policies promulgated by OPNAVINST 2221.5 (series) and Department of the Navy (DoN) COMSEC Policies.
You will develop briefings on current and future COMSEC equipment.
You will update and maintain Department of the Navy (DON) COMSEC applicable Matrix.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
You must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.

This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
You must be willing and able to sign a statement acknowledging the position is occupied as a Test Designated Position (TDP), and that you will be subject to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
Ability to perform complex database queries, ability to lead a diverse group of personnel, problem solving capabilities, supervisory level communication skills.
Prepares and transmits official written responses for incoming COMSEC related messages.
Manages the COMSEC equipment issuance, transfers, returns, and associated transactions within COMSEC accounts.
Update and maintain the DON COMSEC Procedures Manual and make recommendations to NCMS Policy for updates.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
