Duties

Help
  • Applies a thorough working knowledge of project management principles, and an understanding of the US Army Corps of Engineers organizational primary support to program, project, and operation managers.
  • Ensures that all projects are identified and correctly entered into the Scheduling system, and that all project managers use the correct Project Architecture/WBS structure to define products, sub-products, activities, or tasks and milestones.
  • As a Project Control Group team member, leads the District's development of the strategic execution plan to ensure a uniformity of management processes, data handling, and reporting for District programs.
  • Performs broad-scope and long-range program and project management studies for the District programs, to establish new business processes using the PROMIS -P2 system.
  • Serves as one of the District's P2 Project Schedulers. Registers projects and project data using Enterprise systems.
  • Creates and maintains District specific referential data.
  • Conducts and coordinates training classes within the District on the operation of the PROMIS systems.
  • Evaluates flow of information, identifies areas where confusion, and/or misinformation exist, develops necessary guidance, and when necessary, recommends/develops and oversees formal or informal training as appropriate.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. NH-03 Minimum Qualifications:

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes Inputting project schedules and/or budgets in Primavera, or other similar system, using a critical path method; Analyzing data from automated information systems such as, Primavera, to estimate, budget, plan, or monitor projects and/or programs; Participating in a project control group to ensure a consistency of management processes, data handling, and/or reporting for programs; and Recommending adjustments for project scheduling and/or expenditures to the Project Manager. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Additional information

  • This position will be located in St. Louis, MO and will allow for situational telework only. This position is NOT eligible for full-time telework.
  • This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades GS-12 and GS-13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
