Duties

Help
  • You will perform quality assurance functions supporting the manufacturing and repair of equipment and components, ensuring compliance with the stringent quality standards required for critical Level I, SUBSAFE, and Special Emphasis programs.
  • You will perform quality assurance reviews of awarded contracts and draft Statements of Work, Memoranda of Agreement, and other supporting documentation.
  • You will provide guidance to technical and contracting offices on procurement-related quality assurance matters.
  • You will receive, review, and evaluate Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs).
  • You will prepare engineering referrals, as required.
  • You will track the status of open assignments; initiate follow-up correspondence as needed; and enter and maintain records in appropriate system

Qualifications

GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of quality assurance and/or product quality deficiency to independently evaluate compliance with technical and quality specifications, process deficiency reports, perform contract reviews, and support source certification or vendor quality oversight. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Analyzing drawings, specifications, standards, and reported defects; 2) Determining the validity of deficiencies; 3) Recommend dispositions for defective Government Furnished Material; 4) Preparing technical correspondence and engineering referrals and document findings; 5) Preparing reports, initiating official correspondence, coordinating with other personnel to exchange technical data.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing quality assurance-related tasks such as quality assurance, technical documentation review, supply/procurement support, logistics, and/or technical inspection under supervision. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting with the review of technical data, specifications, or deficiency reports; 2) Performing basic contract or purchase document reviews; 3) Tracking data in quality or logistics systems; 4) Applying guidelines, documenting findings, and escalating issues as appropriate; 5) Coordinating with other personnel to resolve issues.
